Australian Bank shares drop in early trade

Australian shares lost some ground in early trading on Monday with three of the major banks leading the way.

The National Australia Bank was down 32 cents or 0.8 percent at $38.90, the Commonwealth Bank of Australia was down 29 cents or 0.5 percent at $60.38 and the ANZ lost 17 cents or 0.6 percent to $60.31 dollars.

The Westpac was the odd one out gaining 22 cents or 0.8 percent to be $29.15 by mid morning.
