No change in Interest Rates tipped

3 December 2007

Australian economists predict that there will be no change to the current official interest rate of 6.75% when the Reserve Bank board meet tomorrow.

The results of the Reserve Bank board meeting will be released to the public on Wednesday morning with home loan interest rates expected to remain the same.

However, rising inflation should be confirmed with the release of the GDP figures next week, which should result in an interest rate hike in the new year.
