Westpac looking for new chief of Retail Banking
Mrs Gail Kelly who was announced as Westpac's next Chief Executive Officer from 1 February 2008, and already has to find a new head for the retail bank after Mike Pratt resigned just before Christmas.
Mrs Kelly will succeed Dr David Morgan who has been the banks CEO since March 1999.
Pratt had a large input into the running of the banks domestic business before it was split in two (business-consumer).
Kelly's first major appointment will be an interesting one with many staff movements occurring in the second half of last year, at the top end of the management scale, amongst the major banks.
Australia's leading banks have been recruiting staff from one another in the least couple months to fill management positions with Mrs Kelly, herself recruited from St Georges Bank.
