Market Opens Down

The Australia Share Market opened down today as expected after the losses incurred on Wall Street.

The big banks all suffered losses by midmorning with the Commonwealth Bank leading the way dropping 66 cents to $55.23.

National Australia Bank shares fell the least at 25 cents to $34.95, while ANZ shares fell 33 cents to $25.39 and Westpac lost 37 cents to $25.63.
