Rudd meets with RBA officials

Australian Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd has met with officials from the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) to discuss inflation.

Mr Rudd said meeting was to discuss inflation and to help the government develop its fiscal policy for the year.

Mr Rudd refused to elaborate on the meeting held with RBA officials simply saying, "I had a chat to the bank and others about our national economic challenges, private meeting, so there you go."

Mr Rudd had said earlier that the meeting was to discuss the inflation challenge left by the Howard-Costello government.
