Banks Still Winning The Financial Battle

Illawarra Mercury

Wednesday January 9, 2008

Round One of 2008, and the little Aussie battler is knocked to the ground once again.

The Opposition Leader would do well to look back on the answers that Peter Costello gave to Labor's questions on banks and interest rates, because nothing's changed and the banks will continue to grab as much as they can from those who can least afford it - it's called good business.

Australians could win if they had the guts to put scissors through their credit cards - interest rates would come down overnight.

Before the Liberal remnants do their best to try and smear Kevin Rudd's new government, they would well be reminded that finance doesn't work as well in practice as it does in speeches.

Dave Cox, East Corrimal.
