NAB to launch mobile phone banking
Friday February 1, 2008
The National Australia Bank has confirmed it will launch mobile phone banking.
Australia's biggest bank is the second to announce mobile phone banking after the ANZ who will offer their service from February 11.
While the ANZ service will include all functions including the ability to transfer funds, the NAB model will only provide customers with statements and balances on their accounts.
The other major banks, the Commonwealth Bank of Australia and the Westpac Banking Corp. have given no indication of using the new technology in the near future.
