Banks offer all types of personal loans. Some banks offer personal loans that are specially tailored for people looking for car loans. By looking for the right type of personal loan, you could end up saving yourself hundreds, if not, thousands of dollars.
When researching banks to see what type of personal loans they offer, consider personal loans that have:
- Competitively low interest. Is the interest rate fixed for the life of the loan? Will you be better off with fixed interest?
- Secured or unsecured? A secured personal loan will require collateral. Are you willing to give up an asset if you have difficulties in paying off the loan?
- Is the bank offering redraw facilities?
