What are your personal banking needs?
Friday August 1, 2008
Banks offer a variety of products to help you make the most of your money. Everyone has different banking needs. People spend money in different ways; some prefer to use credit cards and others prefer to pay cash. It all depends on what you want.
Some people use credit cards on a daily basis, preferring the convenience of 'plastic money'. If you like to use credit cards, make sure you find credit cards that suit you. Look for low interest, low fees, and interest free days. Remember to spend within your means; otherwise, you'll end up in debt.
It you prefer transaction accounts and withdrawing cash, remember to keep your everyday accounts separate from your savings accounts. Depending on which banks you're with, you may be able to earn more interest if you don't make any withdrawals.
Compare credit cards to see if you're getting the best deal. If you want separate savings accounts, look for a savings account that suits you now.
