Choosing the right credit card types from the banks
Friday August 29, 2008
Banks offer very different sets of features for their credit cards, which is why it is important to recognise the different types of credit cards from the banks. Not everyone needs the same kinds of credit cards, with some people preferring budget options while others prefer credit cards that reward spending. By choosing the right types of credit cards from banks, you should have a more suitable credit experience.
Budget credit cards
Budget credit cards are very frequently offered by banks as a way of enticing customers through the possibility of debt reduction. Budget credit cards from banks include low interest rate credit cards, balance transfer credit cards and interest free days credit cards. No annual fees credit cards can actually end up costing more than low fee credit cards with interest free days, as no annual fees credit cards tend not to have interest free days on purchases and will usually have a high interest rate to boot.
Premium credit cards
Premium credit cards are usually offered by banks in order to tempt users to spend more, but they are very well-suited to those that do not spend more than they can repay within an interest free period. There are many kinds of premium credit cards, each with a different kind of reward feature. Gold and platinum credit cards, rewards program credit cards, cash back credit cards and airline rewards credit cards are all examples of premium credit cards available from banks.
