ANZ bank launches new logo
Friday October 30, 2009
ANZ has now officially launched it new face of the banking giant, launching a new brand and face of the bank that it says will mark the beginning of its new approach to banking. The new logo, branding and company identity took 18 months of market research which involved the input of over 1,300 customers and 250 staff members across Australian, New Zealand and Asia Pacific branches.
The new branding, costing apparently 15 million dollars in the making when taking all required building, technology and advertising rebranding, is meant to be the final phase of ANZ's overall reshaping of structure and initiatives. The bank outlined several of their principle initiatives including the much publicised simple fee structure with the cutting of 27 fees that use to apply to various personal bank accounts, increasing branch hours and the level of customer service provided along with the simplification of the mortgage pre-approval process.
Mike Smith, ANZ Chief Executive Officer, stated that the rebranding was designed to reflect the banks high standard of experience and their up-to-date approach with their customers needs.
"Both retail and business customers throughout the region overwhelmingly said the new positioning ';we live in your world" expressed what they wanted from us."
"We're already making good progress in delivering this with leading levels of customers satisfaction, significant investments in more branches and more ATMs, and simplified products and fees,"
"Our new symbol, the advertising campaign that we'll launch on Sunday and the rebranding of our offices and branches reflects ANZ today and our commitment to continue to change the way we do things by understanding what is going in our customers' world and making banking more convenient and less complex,"
The new logo, as shown, is meant to represent ANZ's customers and three main geographies of Australia, New Zealand and Asia Pacific.
The new branding is expected to begin being launched over the next 12 to 24 months and will take place on all buildings, websites, marketing and advertising.
