Banks customers dissatisfied
Monday February 16, 2009
According to recent banking research based on how businesses ranked their bank's performance in nine different areas, there is a significant decline in customer dissatisfaction.
This was seen most strongly when banks do not pass on any interest rate cuts when they are made by the Reserve Bank of Australia.
Overall, banks were given a score of 4.91 (on a scale of 0 being very dissatisfied and 10 being very satisfied) which was attributed strongly to the banks lack of response to any Reserve bank interest cuts.
Official interest rates have been lowered by the Reserve Bank over four months to hold at 3.25 per cent in an effort to stimulate the economy.
